Heather’s Heroes Supports Holm Primary’s Inspiring Ride for Lewis

Heather’s Heroes committee members Ryan Magennis and Heidi MacDonald were delighted to attend Holm Primary School in Inverness to present a final total fundraising cheque, following an outstanding challenge.

A group of dedicated friends and teachers from Holm Primary School took on the incredible challenge of cycling 40 miles from the school to the Highland Farm Café and back, raising funds in support of their friend and pupil Lewis, who is currently receiving treatment for leukaemia at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.

We were proud to support this remarkable effort through our match funding initiative, helping the team achieve an amazing fundraising total of £18,975, including £7,500 match funded by Heather’s Heroes.

Every penny raised will go directly to the ward where Lewis is being treated through The Archie Foundation helping make difficult days a little easier for children and families in hospital.

Lewis’s bravery has inspired so many, and we are incredibly proud of the kindness, compassion and determination shown by his friends and teachers. Their efforts perfectly reflect the ethos of Heather’s Heroes, continuing Heather’s legacy of kindness by supporting others in their time of need.
