Heather’s Heroes is delighted to announce a significant contribution of £25,000 to The Archie Foundation, supporting its vital work with children and families across the Highlands, Islands and the North of Scotland. The donation was shared publicly at the recent Archie Foundation Moonlight Ball, where we were honoured to stand alongside so many passionate supporters of the charity.

At Heather’s Heroes, our mission has always been to make a meaningful difference in our communities, and we are incredibly proud to support an organisation whose impact is felt by thousands of families each year. The Archie Foundation provides essential “extras” that go far beyond standard NHS provision, ensuring that children experiencing medical challenges receive comfort, compassion and opportunities during some of their most difficult moments.

Mary Nimmo, Patron of The Archie Foundation, expressed heartfelt thanks for our support, saying:

“We are incredibly grateful to Heather’s Heroes for their extraordinary donation of £25,000. This generous gift will make a real and lasting difference to children and families across the Highlands and Islands who rely on the support of The Archie Foundation.

From funding specialist equipment and providing vital family support during hospital stays, to helping create child-friendly environments that reduce fear and anxiety, this contribution will bring comfort, hope and practical help to those who need it most.

On behalf of everyone at The Archie Foundation, thank you for your remarkable kindness. Your support ensures that children facing some of their toughest moments receive the care, compassion and opportunities they deserve.”

Founded in 2000 to support the creation of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (R.A.C.H.), The Archie Foundation has grown into a transformational force for good. Since the hospital’s opening in 2004, the charity has helped more than one million children by funding specialist equipment, family support services and improvements to hospital spaces.

The success of Archie’s long-standing partnership with NHS Grampian led to calls for the charity to extend its reach, and it now plays a vital role across the North of Scotland, providing essential resources that enhance care for children and young people.

We at Heather’s Heroes are incredibly pleased to contribute to such meaningful work.

This donation reflects our commitment to supporting children, families and healthcare environments where compassion and community truly make a difference.

We look forward to continuing our support for The Archie Foundation and celebrating the positive change it brings every day.
