Great Wilderness Challenge – Completed!
Congratulations to James Elliott, who successfully completed the Great Wilderness Challenge on Saturday the 16th of August, a tough 25-mile running route across rugged Highland terrain!
From mountain paths to river crossings, James powered through six checkpoints from Dundonnell to Poolewe in the high temperatures, all to raise funds for the Cantraybridge College team and in support of Heather’s Heroes.
Cantraybridge College provides life-changing opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities, autism, or additional needs, and James was determined to give back after seeing their incredible work. With the support of Heather’s Heroes, every donation raised by the team goes even further, doubling the impact for the Great Wilderness Challenge nominated charities like Cantraybridge College and Highland Hospice.
We’d like to say a huge congratulations to James and the rest of the Cantraybridge team for their determination, strength, and commitment that took them to the finish line of this immense challenge.
A big thank you also to everyone who kindly donated and supported along the way, with every pound up to £1,500 proudly match funded by Heather’s Heroes.
Well done James!
